be a tough task who dares to be a role model, the reason is a leader will have

A leader wants himself to be set as the best example, so be it. Getting

constituents stock in awe. A leadership style is the tool to influence people
in a good way. Furthermore, providing guidance, implement plans and to motivate
people. Every leader has its own style or passion to lead, to be able to
overtake their goal. Leadership is an authority and superiority of a person or
a leader. A leader with a word of encouragement can inspire a person to reach
her potential. According to John C. Maxwell (n.d.), leadership is not about
titles, positions or flowcharts. It is about one life influencing another. A
leader is one who knows the way, goes the way and shows the way. Leaders must
be close enough to relate to others, but far enough ahead to motivate them. A leader

Background of the Study

Leadership varies in
definition due to its complexity and diverse contexts ranging from business to
politics and organization. Most leadership gurus have discrepancies in their
definition and none seem to share the same view about its actual meaning.
However, as this study was initiated and probe started, to gain conceptual
clarity, the results are baffling. The leader of any organization expectedly
completes his role which is given by communicating the values of the
organization he or she represents. Leadership skills are required by a manger
to operate effectively at a strategic level and a successful manager will be
able to identify personal skills to achieve strategic ambitions as well manage
personal leadership development to support achievement of strategic ambitions.

There are 12 different leadership
styles to lead organizations or other people; Autocratic Leadership where in
this leadership, the leaders holds decisions on their own without consulting
subordinates; Democratic Leadership, in this leadership style, the leader will
holds the final decision; Strategic Leadership style, this style is one that
involves a leader who essentially the head of an organization; Transformational
Leadership is a style that focused on revolutionary change; Team Leadership,

Leadership
style is very important in an organization. However, instead of focusing on a
single leadership style, leaders can choose their approaches depending on three
factors: forces in the leader, forces in the subordinate and forces in the
situation. Leadership is the life wire of the organization, it vary based on
the surroundings and circumstances.The figure describes the conceptual framework of the
study wherein the input is consisting of the following: Democratic Leadership,
Team Leadership, Facilitative Leadership, Coaching Leadership and Visionary
Leadership. The researchers think that these leadership styles are the methods
that supervisors commonly use.

On the other side, the process being used is through
interview where the researchers will ask the respondents face to face. The
output is the Agile Leadership, a leadership
is associated with leaders who have the ability (and agility) to operate
in any mode (system of thinking) and most importantly see from the perspectives
of the other modes. It is this ability to think in a number of different ways
that gives such leaders their agility. 

The researchers want to find out the leadership styles
that supervisors commonly and uniquely use. The figure shows how the
researchers will research, survey, and solve their thesis statement.

Statement of the Problem

              The purpose of this study is to
determine the leadership styles of supervisors in Cimpress Philippines Inc.

             Specifically, it seeks answers to
the following questions:

1.    What leadership styles that supervisors commonly use?

2.    How supervisors handle conflict in the workplace?

on their team’s performance?

Importance of the Study

      The finding of this research will
contribute greatly to the benefit of the following, considering that having a
leadership styles will create a successful outcome.

This research study will be helpful
for supervisors because this can
benefit them positively for this research tackles about different types of
leadership styles that will help them to improve their leadership skills. The employees are the second beneficiaries to
avoid curiosity about what leadership styles that supervisors are using under
them. This study may serve as a student reference
or related literature for researchers of the same field. And for the future researchers, this is beneficial
to them because through this, they will gain more knowledge and they can also
use this research as their source/basis.

Scope and Limitation of the Study

             The
study focus on determining leadership
styles of supervisors in Cimpress Philippines Inc.
The respondents are supervisors from Cimpress Philippines Inc.

 
        Cimpress Philippines Incorporated, which is
located at Taguig City is the area where the research will take place. The
researchers will choose ten supervisors from the company to gather data. The
data that were derived from them are necessary in the attainment of the study’s
objectives.
