According Bang that formed our Universe could, in fact,

According to our modern research and exploration, the universe began approximately 14 billion years ago. The beginning of the universe is theorized to have started as the Big Bang; a singularity which expanded outwardly to for the universe. Recently, a new hypothesis for the end of the universe was created. Called the Big Crunch, this theory states that the universe will ultimately stop expanding and turn inward on itself until it becomes the singularity once again.                              Time vs. Universe size (Big Crunch Theory)The history of this theory stems from the basic understanding of how the universe works. Paul Davies brought the theory into the public spotlight in his book “The Last Three Minutes: Conjectures About The Ultimate Fate Of The Universe.” he pieced together information form acclaimed scientists such as Stephen Hawking and Albert Einstein.  As of right now, it is proven that the Universe is accelerating outwards and expanding. But what happens if the matter in the Universe has sufficient gravitational attraction to stop the acceleration? The result would be that all mass in the universe would slowly contract together in a reversal of the expansion.  Matter would become increasingly clumped together, ultimately forming a unified black hole or singularity. After the formation of the singularity, a second Big Bang could theoretically occur, thereby creating the universe again. This theory then states that the Big Bang that formed our Universe could, in fact, be one of infinite Big Bangs that happened prior to ours. The Universe itself could be caught in a loop that has been occurring for infinite years. By diving deeper into this theory, we see that life may form and end in every cycle; comparable to the multiverse theory, but with one Universe rebuilding itself repeatedly (Known as the Big Bounce). The Big Crunch Scenario is backed by the fact that the universe was created by energy from the Big Bang, and that matter that was accelerated outward must decrease as it leaves the singularity point. Once the maximum point is reached, the matter will reverse direction due to gravity and travel back to the original point. A simple example for this is tossing a ball upwards; eventually gravity wins and it drawn back to the ground. There are two main flaws in the Big Crunch Theory. The first of these flaws is the fact that it has been proven, using the Hubble Constant, that the Universe is expanding at a constant and sometimes increased acceleration. The Big Crunch theory relies on the fact that the acceleration would decrease uniformly until stopping. The idea of the Big Crunch Scenario was discovered before the discovery of Dark Matter and Energy possibly existing, which can account for the expansion and acceleration. If  Dark Energy did not exist, the expansion rate would slowly drop until it reached 0. Dark energy itself has not been proved completely, so the Big Crunch is not totally out of the question.                         Time vs. Size of Universe (Since Big Bang)Like many of the theories as to why the Universe started or how it works, The Big Crunch is impossible to prove or disprove as it is impossible to witness or calculate mathematically.  If the Big Crunch is somehow proven to be the basis of our Universe, time and the history of life and science would be altered in unimaginable ways.
