What has changed
online for iTunes to meet a customer need, and how has it changed?

ITunes
3.0 was released in July 2002. This time Apple had added in playlists so it is easier
for people to find their favourite songs and have them in one place so it
doesn’t waste people’s time searching for songs.

Why it has
changed?

ITunes
1.0 was released in 2001, it was impressive, but people wanted the ability to
create playlists of their favourite songs so they didn’t have to search through
hundreds of songs to find their favourite.

What has changed
online for iTunes to meet another customer need, and how has it changed?

In
April 2003, the first ever ITunes Music Store was released. The introduction of
the music store give users the ability to buy/download the latest songs in a
quicker and easier way because before the update, it would take a long time for
people to copy their CD onto their computer.

Why it has
changed?

On
ITunes 3.0, all you could do was create playlists of your favourite songs that
were on your computer and if you wanted to download more songs, you would have
to copy it off of a CD that you brought, which took a long time and was hard to
do. So People wanted a quicker, easier and cheaper way to download new songs
onto their computers. Before the ITunes Store, the price of CD’s were ranging
between the prices of $16.98 – $18.98 (in today’s money it would be in the
range $22.76 – $25.44). The prices on the new ITunes store were in the price
range of 99 cent per song.  Because of
the cheap price in the music store the price of CD’s were decreased to $12.98.

What has changed
online for iTunes because of a change in technology, and how has it changed?

ITunes
was first released in 2001 and was advertised as the most amazing jukebox
software the world has ever seen. People were impressed but they wanted to
listen to music when they were outside like to the shops or on their way to
work so 10 months later Apple created the iPod.

Why it has
changed?

It
changed because people wanted to walk around and listen to music on a handheld
device instead of it being just on a computer so you can only listen to it at
home or at work.

What has changed
online for iTunes because of another change in technology, and how has it
changed?

In
November 2017 ITunes announced that instead of focusing just on music, they
would now also focus on movies, TV shows, podcasts and audiobooks as well as
focusing on what they are known for in music. On the new iTunes app it now lets
you re-download any apps that you may have previously deleted off of your
device. You can now download new ringtones in an easier and quicker way.

Why it has
changed?

ITunes
updated themselves because of the release of the new Apple IPhone X. Because of
the release of the new landmark IPhone, ITunes felt like they needed to go in a
new fresh direction and modernize their services.
